Hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland, HIGH FADE – the sensational funk and disco trio – are ready to set dance floors ablaze once again with their latest release, “Burnt Toast & Coffee.”
With their unparalleled musical talent and relentless drive, HIGH FADE has captured the attention of a global audience, amassing over 30 million views and streams within just six months of their debut – with support from the Funk Rock Spotify Editorial, New in R’n’B Apple playlist, and airtime on Scottish Radio. This meteoric rise has garnered recognition from esteemed music heavyweights including Jack Black, Cypress Hill, and Brad Wilk from Rage Against The Machine. Formed in mid-2018, HIGH FADE have quickly become a force to be reckoned with: Their raw musical talent and unwavering ambition have propelled them to perform over 1000 gigs in the past four years. Through a proactive presence on social media and captivating live performances, the outfit created viral moments for their tracks – like “Sharpen Up,” “Burnin’,” and now, “Burnt Toast & Coffee.”
“Burnt Toast & Coffee” perfectly encapsulates HIGH FADE‘s signature style and energy that translates on a live stage. Speaking about the track, the band shared:
“The music was written first, starting with an earworm guitar part joined by slamming drums and a filthy bass line. The song draws inspiration from everyone’s experiences and stories, coming together to tell a tale that resonates with people from all walks of life. The catchy hook ‘Burnt Toast & Coffee’ emerged while we were making toast and coffee during a rehearsal session. The toast almost caught fire, adding a memorable twist to the track’s name.”
What sets HIGH FADE apart is their unmatched live energy and infectious style, cultivated through street shows and busking. Despite being a three-piece band, their performances exceed expectations, delivering an impressive musical display. Drawing inspiration from the soulful sounds of John Legend and Barry White to the classic rock of bands like Kiss and Motley Crue, HIGH FADE‘s unique blend of funk and disco creates an unforgettable experience for audiences.
“I’ve never heard a band that can mix virtuosity, musicality, feel, and rhythm as well as this.”

Composed of Harry Valentino (guitar/vocals), Oliver Sentance (bass), and Calvin Davidson (drums/vocals), HIGH FADE firmly believe that their infectious melodies thrive most when there’s a crowd, a dance floor, and people eager to get down. With a packed gig diary, including dates across the UK and Scotland throughout the summer, and a highly anticipated US tour later this year, it’s clear that their rise is unstoppable. Alongside signing with lead US booking agency, Wasserman, the unstoppable trio have landed partnerships with renowned brands like Ernie Ball, Blackstar Amps, and Suhr Guitars, further solidifying the industry’s support behind the band.
Launching their own label, RPN Records, has allowed HIGH FADE to take control of their output, planning monthly singles for the foreseeable future. Additionally, the band has an upcoming official remix for “Sharpen Up,” featuring interpretations from Opolopo and Oden & Fatzo, showcasing their passion for electronic music. This connection to the dance music scene opens doors for HIGH FADE‘s sound to reach the sets of house and disco DJs worldwide
