Emmet Read is releasing a playful Italo influenced EP on Cormac‘s multidisciplinary Polari Records

Emmet Read is one of Bristol‘s up-and-coming DJs and producers. He will release the lively Shake EP October 21st on Cormac‘s ever-evolving, multidisciplinary Polari Records.

Emmet playfully uses vintage synthesisers and drum machines to recontextualise the Italo disco sound within the realm of contemporary dance music. Cormac has always supported Polari‘s featured artists throughout his gigs over the years, while specifically Shake EP‘s title track has been proven a constant in his sets. Emmet Read is rightfully one of Cormac‘s favourite producers.

‘I’ve loved putting this EP together, spending time experimenting with various drum machines and synthesisers to create my take on the Italo sound. As a fan of Cormac it’s an honour to be on his Polari label alongside so many great artists.‘‘ – says Emmet.
