London-based dream-pop musician Ilja Alexander taps Dance/ Electronic DJ and producer Tâches to remix his single ‘I’ll Wait’ which has been set for release on the 1st of April via Green Monk Records. Tâches is well-known for his exemplary tunes, and his own label. He’s received press support from publications such as Billboard, Mixmag, Insomniac, Deep House Amsterdam, LA Weekly, YourEDM.com, Ransom Note, and When We Dip, as well as Youtube channels The Sound You Need, MrRevillz, Majestic Casual, Eton Messy, Selected, SubSoul, amassing over 5.5 million Youtube views and 8.9 million Spotify streams.
Originally from Amsterdam, Ilja Alexander has been featured by the likes of CLASH Magazine, Earmilk, Popdust, Medium, This Song Is Sick, Rolling Stone India, Beats Per Minute, and CelebMix. For the original, Ilja Alexander has drawn inspiration from Electric Light Orchestra, The Libertines, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, The Beach Boys and Burt Bacharach.
Tâches was born in the UK but grew up in Mallorca. The producer spent some time living in Barcelona, Spain before moving to LA, California, where he is currently based. During this time, the producer’s sound has grown as it’s exposed to new influences. His remix of Ilja Alexander’s ‘I’ll Wait’ can be compared to the likes of Fred Everything, FKJ and Louis La Roche.
Melding two opposing genres into one thriving remix, Tâches takes Ilja Alexander’s ‘I’ll Wait’ and infused it with funky house beats. Picture an open stage, the smell of the nearby ocean carried across on the breeze and the magic of light of late afternoon, just before the sun is about to set. Bonus points if you can feel the sand beneath your toes as you twist and turn in the escapism fuelled waves of sound.
Speaking of the remix, Tâches tells us: “Hope you enjoy my personal take on Ilja’s dancey little number ‘I’ll Wait’.”
