Fox De La Rose announces genre-defying album ‘Nothing Is Written In Stone’

A group portrait featuring six individuals seated and standing, with two dogs. The setting has a rustic feel, characterized by wooden elements and dim lighting. The individuals display a mix of casual and formal attire, with one woman in a red dress and another wearing a teal top and jeans. The two dogs, one looking like a husky and the other a golden retriever wearing a cowboy hat, are positioned in front of the group.

NEW ALBUM ‘NOTHING IS WRITTEN IN STONE’ OUT SEPTEMBER 18th

Fox De La Rose presents ‘Nothing Is Written In Stone’, a nine-track album shaped by a simple yet ambitious creative philosophy: a song should never be forced into a genre when the story it carries demands something different.

Led by a songwriter whose vision lies at the heart of every composition, arrangement and artistic decision, Fox De La Rose approaches each track as a musical world of its own. Contemporary pop and rock, cinematic textures, Britpop influences, organic instrumentation and introspective passages all find their place across the album.

This stylistic diversity is not an end in itself, but a way of giving each story the voice that suits it best. Each song therefore possesses its own identity while also forming one of the chapters within a broader creative and narrative vision.

At the heart of ‘Nothing Is Written In Stone’ lies the belief that no decision, failure or chapter of our existence is enough, on its own, to define an entire life or determine what follows. The album explores the choices, wounds, doubts, encounters and moments of resilience that gradually shape an individual, while reminding us that life is always capable of changing direction.

Its nine songs function as distinct chapters, exploring loneliness, support, regret, legacy, fear, rebuilding and the possibility of starting again. Each one tells its own story, yet together they contribute to a shared reflection on our ability to move forward, evolve and rewrite what once appeared to have already been decided.

‘Mystery’ opens the album by exploring the mystery surrounding every decision: that often elusive inner journey which nevertheless ultimately shapes the course of a life. ‘Not Afraid of the Light’ then confronts the uncertainty that accompanies change and the determination to move forward, while ‘From The Heart’ explores the deeply personal choices that ultimately matter most.

‘I Don’t Chase Anymore’ marks the moment when pursuing what is moving away gives way to detachment and the reclaiming of oneself. The title track, ‘Nothing Is Written In Stone’, forms the philosophical centre of the album by challenging the idea that a single decision can define an entire life.

‘You’re Not Alone Tonight’ offers a direct response to loneliness through themes of presence and solidarity. ‘November Ashes’ examines the weight of memories, not as something in which to remain trapped through passive contemplation, but as a foundation upon which to continue building. ‘Next Page’ considers the possibility of moving forward without denying the experiences that came before. Finally, ‘The Eagle Still Flies’ turns towards resilience, rebuilding and the ability to find a new path.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

Several tracks from the album have already received international recognition.

‘Not Afraid of the Light’ won Best AI Pop at the World AI Music Festival, where it was also nominated in the Best Human-AI Collaboration and Best AI Music Storytelling categories.

‘You’re Not Alone Tonight’ won Best Music Video at the Cannes Film Awards, while ‘The Eagle Still Flies’ received an Honorable Mention at the Europe Music Video Awards.

These distinctions reflect the project’s artistic consistency and its ability to give each song a distinct musical, narrative and visual identity.

COHESION FOUNDED ON VISION RATHER THAN GENRE

Although the songs differ considerably in sound, they remain connected by a consistent approach to songwriting and storytelling. Rather than following a single formula from beginning to end, Fox De La Rose allows each composition to establish its own atmosphere, energy and emotional identity.

The result is an album whose cohesion rests more on its artistic vision and the meaning of the work as a whole than on belonging to a single musical genre.

This approach is also influenced by the evolving creative landscape now available to independent artists. Modern production and visual creation tools have considerably expanded the possibilities for creating ambitious sonic and cinematic environments without removing human decision-making from the centre of the process.

For Fox De La Rose, technology acts as an extension of the creative process: a means of exploring ideas, textures and worlds in service of the songwriter’s original vision.

‘Nothing Is Written In Stone’ ultimately presents Fox De La Rose as a project founded on artistic freedom and flexibility, in which genre is treated as a tool rather than a limitation.
