From The Tiger’s Mouth release single ‘Morning News’

Former Bengal Lancers frontman, Harry Sullivan, is delighted to launch his latest project From The Tiger’s Mouth as he unveils debut single Morning News.

Having formed Bengal Lancers with his friends, the band went onto make an impact picking up support from the likes of Clash MagazineLouder Than WarBBC Radio and Radio X.

Morning News is a beautifully constructed indie-pop song that combines the artsy indie of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah with the electronic experimentation of Teleman.

With the worldwide pandemic effecting every facet of society, Harry was isolated away from his bandmates unable to create the music they had done so successfully over the past few years. However, when one door closes another one opens. The London-born singer-songwriter used the enforced segregation as a creative outlet during a time where the world remained connected yet so far apart.

Endeavouring to produce cathartic, heart-on-sleeve songwriting combined with a contemporary dream-like sensibility, Harry unveiled his new project: From The Tiger’s Mouth. The moniker wasn’t something new, Harry having previously playing the odd solo show under the pseudonym. Adapted from a misquoted review for ‘Bengal Tigers’, the name was a play on words that ended up sticking.

Following the lifting of restrictions, Harry retreated with longtime collaborators Charlie HawkinsMax Hutchins and Aidan Wickham to a small abandoned church near Cambridge to work through the material written over the past 18 months. The result was the recording of a collection of tracks that will ultimately form his debut EP later in 2022.

Kicking off this new era for Harry will be debut single Morning News. The track is a reflection on the overconsumption of media and the strange desire to focus on the negatives first. In a world inundated with fake news and divisive rhetoric, Morning News is a cut through the noise, a call to keep a clear head and keep fighting the good fight.

Morning News is out now.
