ICYKOF debuts on Radio Slave’s Rekids offshoot, RSPX, with the ‘Space Tak’ EP, set for release 17th April 2026. It’s an EP rooted in House and Techno while reflecting his own London perspective. Of mixed Jamaican heritage, his sound draws inspiration from pioneers such as Robert Hood, Carl Craig, Juan Atkins, Moodymann, and Cajmere. Folding those influences into robust, club-ready grooves, ICYKOF has released on labels including Astral People Recordings, KMS Records, and his own Rave Nuit, now continuing his relationship with Rekids after first appearing on the label’s mix series in 2025.
The opening cut of ICYKOF’s ‘Space Talk’ EP is ‘Get Outta My Head’, which rides on muscular kicks that anchor a driving house groove, with sharp percussion and flashes of synth bringing movement around ICYKOF’s spoken vocal. ‘I Remember’ raises the pressure with booming drums and restless synth lines that drill into the rhythm before breaking into an atmospheric pause and returning with stripped-back, heavyweight momentum. Closing track ‘Glitter Trap’ leans into darker territory, pairing swinging kicks with tense synth textures and a weighty bassline built for late-night club systems.
