New Jersey indie punk band Above the Moon is back with their latest five-track EP, There Is No Arrival Vol. 2, out today. Marking a decade together, the band continues to deliver high-energy, authentic performances that blend raw punk attitude with melodic indie sensibilities.

The EP opens with “King Baby,” a bold, in-your-face track that sets the tone with driving guitars and Kate Griffin’s commanding vocals. Throughout the release, Above the Moon explores a range of sounds, from the emotionally charged “Back and Forth” to the reflective, melodic textures of “Sirens,” before closing with the harmonically rich “When We’re Gone.” Each song captures the band’s commitment to honesty, energy, and memorable songwriting.
Formed in 2015, Above the Moon has built a reputation for authentic live performance—no backing tracks, no gimmicks. Over the years, the band has released multiple EPs, including collaborations with Rob Freeman (Hidden in Plain View) and Joe Reinhart (Hop Along), as well as a full-length album recorded entirely at their home studio, Bottle Hill Recording. Their sound draws from punk, indie, shoegaze, and pop, creating a distinctive voice that has resonated across the tri-state area and beyond.
