James Blake has announced a new album, ‘Trying Times’. You can listen to the first single from it, titled ‘Death of Love’

Set for release on 13th March via Good Boy Records, according to press material, ‘Trying Times’ “moves through the comfort of loving and being loved while recognising how fragile that safety can feel when global anxieties and private doubts pull in opposing directions.”
Following on from 2023’s ‘Playing Robots Into Heaven’, the 13-track LP marks Blake’s seventh album to date. In 2021, the singer, musician, producer and DJ released the album, ‘Friends That Break Your Heart’.
‘Trying Times’ features two familiar collaborators as guest vocalists: Monica Martin, who previously worked with Blake on ‘Show Me’ and ‘Go Easy, Kid’, and UK rapper Dave. The pair last teamed up on the landmark album, ‘The Boy Who Played The Harp’.
