Jayda G releases new single ‘The Shiver’ Out now on her label JMG Recordings, this single is the London-based Canadian artist’s first new music of 2025, following the birth of her child at the end of last year. “During maternity leave I felt so creative and was so grateful for my creative outlet—to create music, release music and DJ—so I’m even more excited to get back into it,” Jayda G said in a press statement. “‘The Shiver’ is about that feeling you get when you meet someone and you feel like it could be something and you get all jittery! The song is based on me and my husband Darrell and when I first met him, and how our lives came together after years apart.”
She continued: “I want people to feel light and happy and to have fun whilst listening to the song. It’s infused with the upbeat lightness and happiness that I want to embody now after having a child. There’s lots of great things in life to be excited about and I want to put my energy and music into that aspect of life.”
‘The Shiver’ follows her August 2024 track ‘Feeling Alive’, which later got remixed by Anna Lunoe.
