The Making Of A Paracosm is Kasbo’s most complete record to date, with the Gothenburg-born artist tapping into his archive of thought provoking electronica across 14 stunning tracks. The LP commences with the engrossing soundscape of title track ‘The Making Of A Paracosm’ before launching into the emotion-tinged ‘Play Pretend’ featuring fellow Swedish artist Ourchives, the first of five tracks that have already been released as singles across 2020.
Discussing the album, Kasbo explains: “The Making of a Paracosm is a very important piece to me. It unfathomed so many different aspects of my life. I made this album during one of the best years of my life, but the following year under which I made it was one of the worst. I feel like this makes it capture such a wide array of emotions, from euphoria to sadness. From joy to anger. This is the most full and direct creative representation of me and I’m so happy to finally be able to put it out into the world.”
Other singles come in the form of indie-electronic crossover ‘Lune’ featuring Australian outfit Vancouver Sleep Clinic, breakbeat-utilising ‘Staying In Love’ featuring Swedish vocalist Nea, the comparatively more raw ‘Skogsrå’ and the shimmering, ethereal vibes of ‘Show You’.
Further highlights include the emotional indie of ‘For Evigt’ featuring Florian Rosetti and ‘Shut The World’, which include the stunning vocals of Frida Sundemo, who collaborated with Kasbo on their popular 2018 track ‘Over You’ and not least forgetting LP closer ‘Sno’, an orchestral offering featuring singer / songwriter Freja The Dragon.
The Making Of A Paracosm marks the follow-up to 2018 debut album Places We Don’t Know, with Kasbo since garnering over 200 million streams and the support from tastemaker publications such as Fader, Complex and Dancing Astronaut.
A landmark release, The Making Of A Paracosm is an album destined to propel Kasbo’s musical career to new heights.
