Swiss alt-pop artist KURA K will release his debut single, “Tra Milano e il Mare”, on June 12 via the community-driven label Fankee.
Blending hypnotic melodies with dark, contemporary production, KURA K creates music suspended between electronic textures and alternative influences, imperfect, emotiona, and deeply human. Living between London and Milan, he began writing and producing, inspired by timeless icons such as Johnny Cash and Kurt Cobain, while developing a modern sonic identity shaped by artists like Artemas, The Weeknd and Sombr.
Describing himself as a “human signal searching for frequencies”, KURA K explores contrasts throughout his work: light and darkness, tension and simplicity, melancholy and energy. His music channels raw emotion, intimate vulnerability, and cinematic atmospheres into songs designed to connect through feeling rather than formula.
Although “Tra Milano e il Mare” marks his official debut release, KURA K has already spent years evolving his artistic vision through multiple musical projects, touring across Europe and performing at major festivals.
The release also marks an important moment for Fankee, the revolutionary community-driven music label redefining the relationship between artists and audiences.
In an industry increasingly dominated by algorithms, fleeting virality and platform gatekeepers, Fankee flips the traditional label model by transforming fans from passive listeners into active collaborators. Through its unique ecosystem, fans contribute directly to artist growth by discovering music early, sharing releases, mobilizing communities and helping build momentum around emerging talent.
Rather than relying on top-down industry structures, Fankee creates a network effect where participation, discovery and promotion become collective movements powered by belief and community. The platform tracks meaningful fan contributions and translates them into reputation, influence and co-ownership opportunities, while giving artists the infrastructure needed to remain independent without being isolated.
For KURA K, the partnership with Fankee represents a natural alignment between artistic identity and cultural vision, emotionally driven music released through a platform built around human connection, shared energy and collective discovery.
“Tra Milano e il Mare” will be available on all major streaming platforms on June 12.
