Several talented artists have come together to create The Music of Yara including Porfi Baloa from Venezuela who earned 60 Number 1 Hits in the Venezuelan Hit Parade. Listeners will also find the talented Gabylonia, a Venezuelan RnB artist with over 12 million plays on Spotify alone. The diverse stylings of producers working together creates a sound similar to the likes of Camila Cabello, Natti Natasha, ChocQuibTown and even the classic styles of Harry Belafonte.

Vibrant and alive with calypso stylings, The Music of Yara creates an entirely fictional culture, infusing it with real Latino flavours and going so far as to introduce an entire national anthem. It’s worth paying attention to each perfected detail found within the album, as rhythmic syntaxes create odes to revolution while still putting a spotlight on the passionate and joyous beats that create an unmissable dancefloor.

Speaking of the ‘Sueños de Libertad’ track, Porfi Baloa tells us: “I wrote this song in 1981, when I was only 11 years old. During that time, the “Salsa de Barrio” (“neighbourhood salsa”) was very popular and I had a band with other kids my age called “Reflexión”. We didn’t want to copy famous groups of the era but instead, we wanted to write original songs. That’s when I found out I was able to write music. As the years went by, I left that song aside until the opportunity for Far Cry 6 came up. I then remembered this song and realized it fit the story very well. I was encouraged by my 12-year-old son to submit it. I think it was finally the time for the song to see the light of day.”
