The self-directed black and white video sees LexMo on DP and editing duties as well as dancing through the intoxicating scenes with different dancers, in her own words “perfectly encapsulating the toxic dark romance that is littered through the song”. Depicting someone stuck between two people, and who ends up losing everything after trying to make what seemed like an impossible choice, “the push and pull that came in waves ultimately left me feeling trapped and alone and questioning everything I thought I once knew about my sexuality. I’m simply not as straight as I thought I was and that was pretty scary for me to discover. In the end I lost both people and lost myself as well. I’d never felt so trapped, confused and alone trying to figure out what I wanted. The black and white, the strobe effects, the back and forth between each person represents the confusion and instability I was feeling at the time,” LexMo enthuses.

Through a series of singles releases LeXMo has shown she cannot be confined to a single genre,  the talented artist has channelled her alt-rock and pop-punk alter ego through  the guitar driven ‘PST’ and her most vulnerable soul-bearing side on the emotionally gutting ‘Think Of Me’With ‘GHST’ she explores more organic sounds; “every sound, drum, instrumentation, texture and effect were all created by my co-producer and I in a studio that used to be a vault from an old bank. The acoustics in the studio were just amazing, with such a cool space to work with we decided to make everything from scratch. The stomps, the snares, the claps, the whistles everything, he and I built from the ground up so production wise ‘GHST’ is like my baby.”

Celebrating the music she loves, LexMo is capable of exploring different genres of music through songs that show the wide range of her talent, “being confined to a genre is a thing of the past,” she says. Her music and lyrics come from honest emotions, “I was woken up one morning by my anxiety and the lyrics of the first verse were just rushing through my mind with that fast paced punk guitar-driven tempo. I hit up my guitarist and asked if he was ready to shred a solo and it all fell together so organically production-wise when we just followed the story of the lyrics”.

Born in Venezuela and raised in Miami, LexMo is a fearless bilingual singer, songwriter and producer whose varied practice as an artist include creative direction, video production, choreography, marketing and digital media. Her previous self-released singles, each accompanied by a video directed by LexMo herself – the dark alt-pop ‘I’m the worst (but I love myself)’ and the brooding R&B-laced single White Walls – have proven her raw, unbridled talent.
