Written whilst on tour pre-pandemic, Youth8500 combines upbeat nostalgic melodies over a punchy beat with a longing sentiment. Talking of his inspiration for the track, Sam muses:

“the song youth8500 is about growing up but still maintaining the sense of being young at heart your whole life. The older you get you are still the same up in your brain box. I wrote it when on tour last year i played it a few shows as a kind of jam until it sort of turned into a song all played in live on my homemade synthesizer kosmo.”

This month, Sam will open The Museum of Everything Else in Ramsgate where he will showcase obsolete and experimental technology and home built machines. As well as housing many LMNC inventions and classic machines it will also be the home to special pieces by other artists that will be commissioned especially for the museum. Possibly the piece fans are most excited to see in person is the record breaking 1000 oscillator me gadrone.

He will additionally be displaying a new work “Teletubbie Tidal Wave” as part of Ramsgate Festival of Sound on between August 27th and September 5th at the Ramsgate Boating Pool. The installation is an interactive art piece based on a large stadium wave of Teletubbies and once again showcases Sam’s multidisciplinary talents.

LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER released his second EP in 2020 and has played sold out live shows across the UK and Europe including a triumphant headline show at London’s XOYO.
