LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER, aka Sam Battle, acclaimed innovator and instrumentalist, is back with a brand new dual release, Look Mum No Bootleg Vol.1 & Vol. 2. Available as standalone physical albums or as part of a bundle, the releases are also available on DPS. All tracks were improvised during live stream performances and were subsequently compiled into two volumes. Speaking of the release’s unique creative journey, Battle notes:
“The dual record release Look Mum No Bootleg is a compilation of highlights from analog synthesizer livestream performances. 2 hour synthesizer improvisational performances have been squeezed down and mixed into 7-20 minute long instrumental tracks. All of the parts are from different performances so it’s a journey between different machines, dynamics and melodies.”
Last year Sam opened This Museum is (Not) Obsolete in Ramsgate where he showcases obsolete and experimental technology and home built machines. As well as housing many LMNC inventions and classic machines, including the record breaking 1000 oscillator megadrone, the museum hosts exclusively commissioned artwork from other artists. The museum is now open to the public on Saturdays between 1-4pm.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER has been consistently releasing music since 2019 and has picked up support from various radio stations as well as playing sold out headline shows in the UK and across Europe. When he’s not making music, Sam is building organs out of Furbies, building wonderful musical machines using LEGO, and running his hugely successful YouTube channel.
