The new self-titled debut EP by Los Angeles based synthpop meets darkwave duo Sleek Teeth. The five song collection features haunting vocals with a hint of melodrama hovering over pulse-pounding beats, delivering a dynamic and cathartic experience. On the EP, the duo confide, “It wasn’t a conscious decision, but there are threads of undefined surroundings and unknown destinations woven throughout the EP. There’s a sense of mystery, like not knowing what’s out there in the dark, but if you want to move forward you have to make that leap and deal with whatever comes. The songs aren’t so much an attempt to come up with answers as they are a raw expression of the struggle itself, and we think there’s a kind of resolution to be found in that.”

Sleek Teeth launched onto the LA music scene with their high energy, hook-laden debut single, “Gone”, along with an ambitious cinematic music video featuring a compelling dystopian narrative. Their new single, “Endless”, is a melodic, danceable darkwave offering with an anthemic chorus, accompanied by a music video featuring a mysterious journey into the unknown. Then there is “Operating”, a song all about what you see isn’t always what you get. The track is filled with irresistible danceable yet menacing beats and striking synths creating an intoxicating listen.
The duo made an impressive live debut at the legendary Das Bunker in Los Angeles in 2024, and are slated to play the LA darkwave music festival Substance in November. Their debut EP is out now.
