Following a run of stunning singles late last year, Ludwig is ready to tell more stories through sound and melody. This autumn Ludwig A.F. unveils his first full-length album project. Although a debut, it does not feel like one, it rather serves a purpose of a retrospective on the artist’s last eight years.
“This is a very personal collection of ten pieces inspired by a special location near my home in the Taunus region of Germany.” Ludwig explains, “I recorded the songs as soon as I returned to my studio, inspired by the atmosphere of the place, I kept going back and I kept being inspired! I have been collating the pieces over the course of almost a decade”.
The first single is “Marbles”. It is an atmospheric and ambiguous piece of music that at times is rhythm and sound design driven but also features picturesque melodies.
Following that, “Sequoia“ is out on September 22nd 2022, bringing forth mesmerising auditory landscapes. The single features airy pads and discrete melodies nestled around a rhythmic backbone.
“Sequoia“ thrives on subtlety, using permanence as its forte.
The full album, Air, will be available in stores digitally and physically on October 7th 2022.
