Singer-songwriter Luke De-Sciscio returns with an anthemic rollercoaster for a post-love generation. In A Moment Just Like This One is out now via AntiFragile Music.
This sonic dreamscape twists and turns like a romantic joyride through the Italian Riviera. Talking about the single, Luke elaborates, “In A Moment Just Like This One takes all the elements that made the first two singles exciting and starts to dial them up to eleven. It’s quirky and it’s got this wild melody that just pulls you through these elaborate and sprawling dreams. Thematically it flirts with both love and death, curtails the edge of suicide. It follows devotion to the edge of sanity and starts to ask what is beyond that veil of life”.
In A Moment Just Like This One is the third single to be taken from Luke’s upcoming album The Banquet. The creation of the album was a cathartic process for Luke; it’s about inviting demons to the table, breaking bread with them and making peace. Throughout The Banquet, Luke takes the listener on a journey of self-reflection and understanding, not wavering at the fears of sharing his vulnerable side and the darkness that comes with it. Oozing with idiosyncratically alluring twists and turns, The Banquet combines folk-rock and baroque-pop sensibilities in order to create a sound that is undeniably unique as a result. From the warm, intimate tones of Baby it’s okay, I’m here, wake up, to the uplifting, anthemic chimes of Happy to be Here (I might die tomorrow), Luke’s effortlessly rich vibrato is at the forefront, allowing his poetic lyricism to shine through.
Luke is graduating from his ‘Folk Boy’ era and entering a new phase of his journey; unafraid to break formula and push the frontiers of his own creativity. Luke has previously received support from the likes of NPR, Clash, The Line of Best Fit, Pop Matters and BBC 6Music’s Cerys Matthews to name a few.
Luke’s upcoming album The Banquet is due for release on 24th June 2022 via AntiFragile Music.
