Mafro produces emotive dance music, inspired by the UK garage and house scene he grew up listening to as a born and raised North Londoner. His tracks playfully toe the line between euphoria and melancholy, drawn together by infectious hooks and melodies.

Opener, ‘Bloom’ is an uptempo floorfiller compact with pitched vocal hooks and stylish drum breaks. Followed by ‘Hollow’ pairing celestial vocals with poignant production. ‘Shaken’ shares impassioned vocals with sensitive piano chords and measured synths. ‘Alright’ is a summer-soaked club jam that is punctuated by steel drums. Lastly ‘Revolving’ closes the EP with an emotional and intricate piano-led creation.

The EP follows ‘Shaken’Mafro’s debut single which received Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ and Jaguar’s ‘Dancefloor Moment’, as well as support from Danny Howard, Clara Amfo, Jack Saunders and Jess Iszatt on BBC Radio 1. ‘Alright’, was premiered by Complex UK, preceded by ‘Revolving’ and ‘Hollow’. The North London artist was also recently featured on the NME Top 100 list, and ‘Ascending Artist’ on Rebecca Judd’s show at Apple Music 1 show. As well as this, he is currently featured on Spotify’s UK House Music cover artist for 5 consecutive weeks on Spotify, and covers on Metropolis, Portal and The Loft playlists.

His summer 2022 collaboration ‘Giving Up’ with fellow British talent TSHA has since racked up over 3.2 million Spotify streams and achieved placement on rotation playlists from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 and Rinse FM.

He co-produced the single ‘Let You Go‘ from Diplo’s recent Grammynominated album alongside frequent collaborator TSHA with whom he also collaborated on her summer anthem ‘Giving Up‘.

The London talent will perform his debut DJ set at Colour Factory for TSHA’s event on 20th January, which will be a taster into his hybrid live show setup to come later this year.

With his quick ascent as a recognised UK talent, Mafro is sure to leave a lasting impression with this EP as a mainstay for the years to come.
