Major Lazer Drops New “Buddy Bye” Collab for Free DL

Major Lazer teamed up with Toronto producer Grandtheft to revive the 1985 hit song “Buddy Bye” from reggae and dancehall legend Johnny Osbourne. Fans may remember that Major Lazer previously sampled Osbourne in their 2012 collaboration “Jah No Partial” with Flux Pavilion. Grandtheft first teased the collab during his Diplo and Friends mix on BBC Radio 1Xtra. Renamed “Number One,” the track was released for free download just in time for the 2016 Ultra Music Festival in Miami this weekend.

Major Lazer is fresh off their historic show in Cuba, which Diplo referred to as “the most important show [they] have ever done.” Watch clips from the show :
