Fêted French DJ / producer Matveï returns with a peak-time dance-floor ready anthem ‘IPANEMA’, lifted from his forthcoming EP ‘TALES_FOR_NIGHTCLUBS_II’ out through Kitsuné Musique this summer.
Following on from the recent ‘TALES FOR NIGHTCLUBS I’ EP released earlier this year, Matveï perfects his hedonistic spin on the genre with a dollop of upfront house and genre hopping influences. He says: “TALES_FOR_NIGHTCLUBS_II is the second instalment of my eponymous EP trilogy. Whereas Part 1 was more melodically focused, this new collection of songs dives deeper into late-night club culture. Each song on this EP explores a different club scene: ENTROPY is US main stage festival hitter, RABONA is a grime UK house influenced tune and IPANEMA brings Rio de Janeiro to your ears through my own deep-house interpretation of it.”
About Matveï:
Matveï is a one’s to watch of the new generation. Brought up on Electronic and Rap music, the French producer makes up an exciting cocktail of international house and urban club sounds. Spotted by Kitsuné Musique while just turning 18, his first releases quickly raised his profile on international tastemakers radar – with support from Martin Garrix and official remixes for the likes of and Future Classic, Liv Dawson and Crystal Fighters. Already supported by Brut, BBC Radio1 and peaking at #3 on NACC (Electronic), Matveï’s trajectory is on the rise.
