Rising Parisian DJ / producer MATVEÏ unleashes a bouncy, bass-laden club edit for his new single ‘TE NECESITO¡! (club)’ released this April through Kitsuné Musique.
Fresh off the success of his recent, ‘Tales For Nightclubs’ EP, Matveï throws the rule book out the window and reworks the original track, upping the tempo for a fully charged, hi-octane affair. He says: “TE NECESITO¡! (club) is a way to show how you can completely change the energy of a song by producing it differently while keeping the same vocals. A different structure, a different chord progression, (jazz influenced), an aggressive house drop with vocal chops and gliding 808s that turn an emotional latin flavoured original into a festival ready tune.”
About the EP: “The songs on this EP, TALES FOR NIGHTCLUBS are a rough and experimental series of sonic stories I’ve released throughout the year, culminating as a trilogy. This new project is focused on melodic club ideas, with minor chord progressions and a particular focus on percussion sound design.”
