Exploring themes of lust and desire, ‘Do It’ is a sensual R&B jam that sees both artists express their seductive vocal harmonies in a breathtaking display of two women embracing their sexuality with powerful conviction. Produced by FrancisGotHeat (DrakeBryson TillerBig Sean), the track will feature on MEYY’s forthcoming EP ‘Neon Angel’, alongside recent singles ‘hyli’ and ‘Orchids’.

Showing the heights that MEYY’s talents reach, she has built an otherworldly universe in the form of a 3D art visualiser, designed by Romain Albers and featuring MEYY herself in a rotating and melting ice sculpture, surrounded by heat lamps.

Talking about the release, MEYY explains, “I love the atmosphere we created with ‘Do It’. It is hot and dreamy but at the same time it really slaps thanks to FrancisGotHeat’s insane beat. Being able to work with him has been a dream. It’s such a breezy and sensual beat but at the same time his curated sound design makes it grounded and textured. Joanna jumping on the track as a feature made it all come together. She’s an absolute dreamgirl, I’m obsessed with her to be real. She’s adding this extra dimension to the track. Both of these collabs added perfectly to the lushy, hypnotic world this track created and I’m so happy and grateful to be releasing it.”

Joanna added to this, saying that ‘Do It’ is “a super sensual and sexy song that talks about women’s desires and fantasies through a smooth production. An icy beat with explicit lyrics, I really love the universe we created. I’m thrilled MEYY invited me to hop on this track. She’s really one to watch… I feel she has it all: the music, the lyrics, the vision, inventive ideas and she’s a dancer.”

A singer, songwriter, producer and dancer, MEYY burst onto the scene with her acclaimed debut single ‘Angelic Lies’ in 2019. This was followed up by the similarly well-received ‘Spectrum’, an EP that amassed more than 500,000 streams and saw her win the Red Bull Elektropedia award for ‘Most Promising Artist Of 2021’.

French R&B-pop sensation Joanna uses her art to break taboos and normalise the expression of (female) sexuality, intimacy, sensibility and the communication around it. She unveiled new album Sérotonine earlier this year, with Enfts Terribles describing it as “an introspective 14-track project putting the spotlight on love and self-discovery while confirming the artist’s singular sonic identity”.

Featuring two of the most exciting artists in the R&B sphere, ‘Do It’ is a sign of things to come for MEYY and Joanna.
