MYD US TOUR CONTINUES WITH STOPS AT OKEECHOBEE FESTIVAL, A CLUB CALLED RHONDA IN LOS ANGELES AND SAN FRANCISCO
MYD’S ALBUM ‘BORN A LOSER’ IS OUT NOW
The new video for ‘The Sun’ by Myd feat. JAWNY is out now. A multi-coloured celebration of togetherness, it features Myd and JAWNY as they get ready to party with a gaggle of Muppet-style puppets in a singalong of the sun-kissed French anthem.

The colourful, fun, quirky and chaotic video serves as a great introduction to Myd’s humour and character, and follows the pair’s recent live performance of the song at “The French Grammys” – the Victoires de la Musique Awards.
Director Tamaya Sapey-Triomphe explains:
“I enjoyed the choreography of the Victoires de la Musique Awards performance so much that I decided to rework it into the video for the single. The final shot, where Myd and JAWNY singalong with the puppets, has this ‘Live on TV’ feel to it. The subtitles were all handwritten by me, which lends the video a happy, handmade quality – true to the atmosphere in the studio while we were filming.”
Gold-selling The single was written, performed and produced by Myd – the Lille-born French guitarist, DJ, producer, songwriter and singer whose debut album ‘Born A Loser’ was released via Ed Banger Records last year. ‘The Sun’ originally featured on the album, but is seeing a rebirth this year thanks to Myd’s recent growing following in France – it was just classified as a Gold-selling single.
Myd has also been nominated for a Victoires de la Musique Award (the equivalent of a GRAMMY in France), and performed the song with JAWNY live at the ceremony earlier this year.
Myd’s debut LP ‘Born A Loser’ is a perfect representation of Myd, who takes his music very seriously, but not himself. It was praised by Billboard who said of the album: “Every tune on this 14-track collection is delightfully danceable, even as the edges of every sample sound warped and a little day drunk”. The album has been praised and supported by tastemakers such KCRW’s Jason Bentley, The Blessed Madonna, and Pete Tong.
The album comprises 14 tracks including the lead single Born A Loser featuring Mac DeMarco, where Myd flips Derrick Harriott’s vocals from the classic 1967 reggae record ‘The Loser’. Continuing his penchant for sampling on the album, Myd also samples The O-Jays’ iconic 1973 single ‘Now That We Found Love’ on his album track of the same name. Uruguay-born guitarist Juan Wauters adds an intimate, fingerpicking moment on ‘Forbidden’, and acclaimed British vocalist Bakar‘s feature on ‘Got It’ rounds off the contributors on the sundrenched, kaleidoscopic album.

Myd has been making music for over ten years, firstly as a founding member of the beloved collective Club cheval, where he helped produce and remix for artists including Kanye West, Dua Lipa, Theophilus London, Brodinski and more. He then went solo, signing to Pedro Winter’s Ed Banger Records, and released debut album ‘Born A Loser’ in 2021.
A consummate DJ as well as a captivating live musician, Myd recently set out on a US Club Tour playing to packed crowds at Baby’s All Right in New York, ATV Records in Miami, and more, making a triumphant return to perform for his US fans.
