mynameisleonidas shares contemplative lo-fi gem ‘grandson’

Enigmatic musician / producer mynameisleonidas returns with yet another otherworldly, bass driven, lo-fi beat gem ‘grandson’, lifted from the debut self-titled album out this September through Kitsuné Musique.

Newly discovered by cult fashion and music label Kitsuné, little is known about the mysterious masked artist apart from his knack for catchy soul-driven lo-fi electronic pop melodies.

He explains: “Family is everything on the song ‘grandson’, it is heartbreaking to see that some of them are isolated, alone, and far from home. I should take some time and visit theme.”

About the album: “Gods tried to curse us even more with the pandemic. Those dark times fed my creativity and unleashed this work (tape/bunch of tracks) made deep inside a murky cave. The only way out was music, always the path to freedom.”

Hailing from an undisclosed location somewhere on earth. mynameisleonidas channels the spirit of Greek mythology and conjures a unique blend of soul, pop, rock, electronics and hip hop, peppered with a heady dose of spoken word. His music is the only clue that offers a unique insight into the mind of mynameisleonidas. Although much of his past remains a blur, he is most definitely one to watch for the future. #ournameisleonidas
