Marking their first EP of the year on Bamboleo Records, Neverdogs make a powerful return to their own imprint with the release of their ‘Jupiter’ EP. Following recent outings on Roush, Moan, Tamango, and DENSER, the duo continue to showcase their signature rolling grooves with two crisp original productions, this time enriched by two standout reworks from revered Romanian artists and UVAR co-founders Sepp and Nu Zau.
The title track ‘Jupiter’ captures the duo’s ever-evolving style, hypnotic, groove-led, and built around crisp percussion and warm basslines, setting the tone for the EP. Its counterpart ‘Saturn’ follows with an equally effective yet distinct energy, weaving trippy atmospherics through tight, driving grooves to highlight Neverdogs’ versatility when it comes to making tracks for the dancefloor. On the remix front, two of Romania’s most respected exports step in. Nu Zau delivers a stripped-back and rolling take on ‘Jupiter’, layering subtle textures and organic movement to create a mesmerizing journey. Sepp’s rework of ‘Saturn’ pushes into deeper and more heady territories, bringing a trippy, late-night feel befitting of his reputation as a Sunwaves regular.
Balancing original productions with impressive remixes, the ‘Jupiter’ EP offers a fresh glimpse into Neverdogs’ ongoing evolution while shining a spotlight on two leading figures from Romania’s ever-influential minimal scene.
