Hailing from NYC, accomplished producer Ducktail is no stranger to a feel-good electronic cut. Armed with a modern take on future bass and electro pop, Ducktail’s top-notch production skills have earned him accolades from the likes of Pete Tong as he has quietly perfected his craft behind the curtain. Now triumphantly stepping into the spotlight with Summer stormer ‘Over’, he joins forces with Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling artist Kristal Oliver as he officially introduces himself to listeners worldwide.

Effortlessly transitioning into his now public moniker, ‘Over’ exists freely to remind dance music lovers that excitement and inspiration remain key words all year round. Envisioning a groove-oriented bassline supported by energetic multi-layered leads, the beatmaker creates a pure, unadulterated sonic experience in his latest offering.

As Ducktail demonstrates the complexity and depth that collaboration brings, his signature sound is set to reach new heights.

Injecting nostalgic rave sounds into contemporary electro pop music soundscapes, Ducktail now embarks on the next stage of his career and continues to plough his own furrow. This release delivers several irresistible climactic moments to heat up the dancefloor, and as Ducktail’s output shows itself to invoke true self-confidence, the multi-faceted producer connects with listeners through powerful positivity.

About Ducktail

From Grammy-nominated artists to Billboard No. 1 producers, the yet-to-release Ducktail has quietly amassed praise as a “top-notch producer” – including from that of Pete Tong. The rising NYC-based producer debuts the Ducktail moniker with the release of “Over,” a collaboration with Grammy-nominated, platinum artist Kristal Oliver (TYTE/TyteWriter).

Kristal has written songs for Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Enrique Iglesias and Ty Dolla $ign. Drawing inspiration from Ducktail’s personal journey, “Over” kicks off a thematic three-part release summer saga. Deciding to ditch Wall Street for full-time focus on music – substituting spreadsheet for DAW – Ducktail’s story as a producer begins 30,000 feet above the Pacific Ocean on a plane to New Zealand. On his “world tour,” Ducktail wasn’t selling out arenas – he was practicing production.

With camera in hand, he captured the adventure – from Southeast Asia to South Africa and Costa Rica – developing musical inspiration at every turn. The music video for “Over” uniquely showcases the action-filled journey via Ducktail’s personal story.

Ducktail, a nickname given to him as a kid, makes music, still, for that kid today. Hallmarks of Ducktail’s music include synth-laced pseudo-trap syncopation, robust pop-laden groove-oriented basslines and energetic multi-layered leads.

Ducktail’s sonic style solicits excitement and taunts inspiration, invoking a certain sense of self-confidence through powerful positivity.
