NUCLEAR” takes on the explosive connotation of its apt title as the perfect combination of rap and electronic music. Philadelphia-bred multi-instrumentalist, producer and finger-drumming deviant OddKidOut provides a radioactive beat of devastating proportions. Slick flows and a cataclysmic cadence complement the record by bringing the energy and ferocity required to perfectly layer over the screwy, distorted drop and ethereal, arpeggiated breakdown.

Whilst cooking up a storm in his kitchen, a plume of smoke caught the corner of OddKidOut’s eye and he immediately thought of an atom bomb exploding. Thus, the word “NUCLEAR” triggered in his head and became the central theme of his label debut on HARD Recs

Upon reflecting about the track, Oddkidout expressed that “‘NUCLEAR’ is the blend of my two favorite genres: electronic and hip-hop. I wanted to make a track that honored both genres without sacrificing the integrity of either. Having HARD Records as its home is a dream come true for me!”

The writer of dynamic tracks like “CODES” and “MOON WALK” had his breakout year in 2017 when he was headhunted by the mighty Skrillex, who signed his ‘Solstice’ EP. Since then, he’s dropped releases on a formidable rap sheet of labels—including an appearance on Bassrush Records with his single “DISTORTO” on a previous installment of ‘The Prophecy’ compilation. He was also scouted by the video game ‘Rocket League,’ who signed his single “Cinema” as the title track of the game. From touring with bands at age 13 to releasing this belter of a tune, OddKidOut’s unique sound and flair has had influence on the scene that has seen him rise and become the powerhouse producer he is now.

Combining his love for hip-hop and bombastic beats, Oddkidout brings you this show-stopper full of energy and nuance. Sit back and try not to get caught in the blast radius of OddKidOut’s spectacular fusion.
