On her way to releasing the new album Juan & The Pursuit Of Happiness, Dontmesswithjuan teased audiences with a latest single titled “Mutant Fur.” The Sono Music Group signee is one of the most talented surrealist electronica artists in the world.
The Montreal-based emerging Canadian artist writes, records, produces and mixes all of her music by herself.
Her latest release, “Mutant Fur” is a bilingual track sung in French and English. With glitchy foley beats, dark textures and philosophical questions, Dontmesswithjuan is proving she is a true artist who transcends music to become one with her audience and message.
In the footsteps of trailblazing icons like Massive Attack, Amon Tobin, or Björk, she impresses with the maturity and depth of her work, often revolving around the fictional character she has imagined; Juan. Through him, she shares existential questions that have a universal reach.
