Oreaganomics prepare  to start 2026 in style on January 1st with the release of their new album ‘Locked  Out on Valentine’s Day’

Mysterious underground American based musical group Oreaganomics prepare  to start 2026 in style on January 1st with the release of their new album ‘Locked  Out on Valentine’s Day’, alongside their infectious single ‘Work Not Heart’!

Oreaganomics are known for their anonymous nature, and complete detach from the  social media norms. Their music focuses on real-life themes, including the cost of-living crisis, wealth inequality, social critique, and personal struggles. The  band avoids the live performance circuit, choosing to communicate primarily through  their unique music, and the occasional live stream.

The group started in rural Kansas in 2005 and later moved to Chicago in 2009.  They are currently based in Kansas and Nebraska. Their sound is a diverse,  experimental blend that has evolved over time, incorporating elements of lo-fi,  R&B/soul, pop, trap, jazz, folk, and rock. Ultimately, it is a highly rare, exciting  fusion of genres, and the only way to experience it, is by clicking play.

Recorded in the Catskill Mountains, ‘Locked Out on Valentine’s Day’ is a journey  through the many genres, and styles of sound. From the synth drenched ‘Addicted to Emotions’ to the almost heartbreaking approach of their new single ‘Work Not Heart’,  and not forgetting, the out of time feel of ‘Venus’, ‘Locked Out on Valentine’s Day’ will  take you on an incredible trip that you just won’t want to leave. It feels like  something completely new.

This is Oreaganomics being unapologetically them, it’s their most honest  interpretation yet, and it’s a huge sound that can easily be the soundtrack of your own  2026.

Digging into the narrative behind their new single ‘Work Not Heart’, Oreaganomics reveal how “It’s about somebody who does well at work but cannot get  somebody to love them. It is a constant theme through the album, and it houses this  song.” This feel of strife wonderfully threads its way through ‘Locked Out on  Valentine’s Day’, and the honesty behind this approach makes for an organic, natural  sounding record.

‘Locked Out on Valentine’s Day’ & ‘Work Not Heart’ will  both be available on January 1st!
