After breaking through with material on labels such as Hot Creations, Solid Grooves Raw and Revival New York, Brazilian DJ/producer Classmatic has made serious moves as an artist to know within the global house realm. Recent music on The Martinez Brothers’ Cuttin Headz and two huge remixes of Green Velvet’s iconic ‘Bigger Than Prince’ as part of its 10th Anniversary has seen his stock soar even further, while his burgeoning Organic Pieces imprint is quickly becoming a favourite for many looking for crisp, percussive-heavy and quality productions from both emerging and established names. Linking with fellow Brazilian Brisotti, who also arrives on the up following releases on Hellbent Records, Solid Grooves and Nervous, the pair switch things up as they serve up a bustling remix of Dutch pop sensation Richenel’s 1982 single ‘Autumn’ to close out July – delivering a flip destined for heartfelt dancefloor moments.
Harnessing the original track’s sugary chords and soulful vocals, the pair go to work by layering a slick, precise weave of rolling organic percussion grooves at the base of the production before turning their attention to funky bass licks, groovy melodies and skippy hats for a warm interpretation set to ignite senses of euphoria and pure delight.
