Less than a decade since their formation in Arcole (Verona, Italy) and two years after the release of their second EP “Golden House” and opening for Zen Circus at the Sherwood Festival, the Veronese duo Attack the Sun, a gem in the Italian alternative scene, returns to merge rock, hip hop, electronics, and introspection in “Paranoia” (Virgin Music LAS Release/Newphonix/distr. Universal Music Italia).
With this new single, Alessandro Stevani and Giacomo Feltre reassert themselves as ambassadors of a sound that challenges genre boundaries, creating an explosive combination that becomes a manifesto of freedom from the traps of being, a musical confession that tackles the daily struggle against the fears that besiege us, building impenetrable walls in our minds. The lyrics encapsulate the essence of the fight between the fear of losing self-control and the desire for emancipation: «Paranoia is my only fear», admits the duo, laying the foundations of a narrative that not only delves into the shadows of the human soul but also illuminates the way out through acceptance and resilience.
A cathartic journey into the depths of the psyche that conveys a powerful message and, in the evocative passage «Don’t be afraid I’d like to save you from my mistakes», serves as an invitation to overcome self-imposed barriers, seeing mistakes not as limits but as stepping stones towards understanding and controlling one’s emotions.
This new chapter in their career is not only an exhortation to resilience but also an admission of vulnerability that humanizes the listening experience. The song’s acceptance and the significant message it conveys transform into a promise of redemption, a bridge thrown over the turbulent waters of self-reflection, encouraging the audience to embrace their mistakes as necessary steps toward personal growth and emotional freedom.

The music of Attack the Sun thus becomes not just the perfect soundtrack for reflecting on the precious value of vulnerabilities but also the keystone for overcoming those mental boundaries that too often confine us in a “dark and isolated cell.”
In anticipation of their third self-titled EP “Paranoia” – which promises to further explore the dynamics of the human spirit and is scheduled for release on May 24 – this new single solidifies Attack the Sun as one of the most authentic and innovative bands in the Italian alternative music scene.
With “Paranoia,” accompanied by the official music video directed by Tommy Antonini and filmed at the Effugio Escape Room in Verona, Attack the Sun not only marks their dynamic return to the music scene but also offers an invitation to reflect on the transformative capacity of music. “Paranoia” heralds an era of profound reflection not just for the band but for anyone who listens, inviting on a personal discovery journey where music becomes a guide, comfort, and above all, hope.
