Pop-Rock outfit Bealby Point share shimmering alt stadium anthem “America”

Vancouver pop rock group Bealby Point has one goal: to capture the most cherished memory of your favourite summer, and turn it into a track you’ll have on repeat for every summer to come.  Having just surpassed 750 000 streams on Spotify following the release of their debut EP, Fridays, Bealby Point is off to a stellar start in 2023.

Whilst thinking to their neighbours and cultural siblings in the USA and writing the title “America” first in the studio, the group then crafted the driving emotive track to this inspiration: “images of fighter jets flying over a football field coated in American flags and raging fans all bleeding red, white, and blue flooded our minds which lead to the song becoming an anthem.”

The single embodies that vision remarkably well, in a genre that rarely delves into the grandiosity of American culture.. With driving and shimmering pop-rock riffs and a get up and go tempo “America” is a stadium sized song.

With a mischievous curiosity akin to a group of neighbourhood kids from a Stephen King novel, Bealby Point spent their youth roaming through the sprawling suburbs of Deep Cove, a coastal neighbourhood in North Vancouver. While sneaking out to parties, riding bikes, and exploring the night against a backdrop of mountains and sea, the group formed the sensibilities which presently influence their songwriting, mood, and energy.
