With ‘Highs & Lows’ this young East Londoner continues to raise the bar for content creating musicians
Prinz is one of the most promising upcoming artists to break out of the UK music scene this year. With comparisons being drawn with a young KSI, the East Londoner is adored by an ever increasing followership for his fun content creation as much as his musical output.
His new track ‘Highs & Lows’, has been blowing up on social media, and he’s just dropped this playful music video which also features internet star Gabriela Bee, who’s beautiful piano cover of Walk Off Earth’s track ‘I’ll Be There’, became the backbone of the beat, after Prinz discovered and sampled it. He used a pitched up version of the hook, to create an anthemic and super relatable lofi rap track, which is an ode to loyalty and love. As he explains:
“It seemed like a song anyone can relate to, no matter what time of the year it is, it fits some of every season and occasion. It’s like a timeless song, no matter how much time passes it will always be relatable. He goes on to say; “It’s basically me saying no matter what someone goes through I’ll be there for them.”
Since his 2022 debut single ‘Peter Pan (feat. Liilz)’ Prinz’s social following has skyrocketed, with 1.1M on TikTok and 600K YouTube subscribers, and after this success he transitioned into a full time musician instead of just somebody who is known on the internet. His next single ‘Beautiful Day (Thank You for Sunshine)’, became another viral sensation, clocking up 55M views on his TikTok channel before release. So far, both tracks have accumulated over 57M DSP streams.
