An underground Faith anthem, Roach Motel’s ‘The Night’ is given a remix package from revered selectors Phillipa, Baunder and Fred Everything. An alias of Pete Heller and editor of Faith Magazine Terry Farley, Roach Motel’s long-standing roots in the 90s club scene is evident in the sheer quality of their timeless productions, defining the sound of British house for many years to come.
‘The Night’ is a seminal yet underrated work from the duo, which now joins ‘Wild Luv’ and ‘Movin’ On’ in receiving an update for modern dancefloors. First up, Phillipa takes the bouncy feel of the original and fragments it, delivering her Believe Remix with rich instrumentation including drums and brass. Next up, Buenos Aires DJ and producer Baunder shows off his expansive and understated house style, before French-Canadian electronic musician Fred Everything showcases a Tribute Remix, offering a mellow 90s sound that shows respect to golden era of house.
