Rosie Carney releases ‘sixteen (night tapes)’

A woman with long red hair wearing a white dress, sitting against an old wooden door surrounded by textured stone walls.

A rich, layered, country-twinged cut, ‘sixteen (night tapes)’ is a beautifully re-worked offering from Rosie Carney. The track is a self-produced masterpiece made in her childhood bedroom, where she reckons with feelings of confusion underscored by ethereal, layered harmonies and slide guitar ingeniously crafted from a doughnut hole cutter. ‘sixteen’ is part of Rosie’s reimagined doomsday night tapes album out May 29.

‘sixteen (night tapes)’ by Rosie Carney is out now via Ultra Records.
