Schiela makes an impressive production debut on Zombies in Miami’s label Creatures Of The Night

Schiela is a German artist who honed his musical skills in the clubs of Berlin. After making his mark in underground hotspots like Watergate and KitKat, he soon played across New York, London and Barcelona. His sound mixes up myriad house styles, driven by the energetic tempo of the 90s and always with an open eye for the hidden gems of Disco and Hi-NRG.. All of this gets distilled into his first foray into production, which will be followed later in the year by a full three-track EP on the same label.

The superb ‘All Night, Baby!’ soon sweeps you up in waves of euphoric house energy with soul-drenched vocals up top. The retro-future drums come with hints of 90s nostalgia and well-crafted synth sequences that ride up and down the scales with a psychedelic edge. It’s unadulterated dance floor joy that shows Schiela is going to be a producer well worth keeping an eye on.

Permanent Vacation co-founder Benjamin Fröhlich has helped shape the scene through his label, DJ sets, and productions and always defies genre categorisation. His remix is deeper and slowed down, so the elastic bass and undulating grooves hit differently. Extra percussion is layered in and smart filters rework the vocal for late-night fun.

Known Artist is the duo of Mané and Probably Sean, who first came together in 2022. Based in France, they have launched Club Mix Records and have become firm favourites for their “bangers only” approach. That shines through on their remix, which is a big, bouncy house track with progressive synths riding up and down the mix and a fulsome groove that is sure to get hands in the air.

Schiela’s All Night, Baby! EP arrives on Creatures of the Night on May 17th 2024.
