Seattle singer-songwriter Pete Keating returns with “Perfect,” a playful, tender slice of lounge blues and Americana about two people who, on paper, should never work – but somehow turn out to be absolutely perfect together. Recorded with his band, The Renslow Trestle, at  Seattle’s London Bridge Studios and produced by Eric Lilavois, the track blends acoustic  guitar, upright bass, viola, drums, piano, and layered vocals. Keating and his band tracked the acoustic guitar and lead vocal live and uncut, preserving the natural phrasing and human feel  at the heart of the song. Drawing inspiration from artists ranging from the Carter Family and  Ramblin’ Jack Elliott to Etta James and Jeff Lynne, Keating creates original music with a  rootsy, playful character somewhere between the Stray Cats and Lyle Lovett. “Perfect” follows the band’s 2026 EP, Stray Curls, and arrives 9th October 2026.

Keating’s two great passions, music and ultra-marathon running share an unexpected  connection. “Running gives me solace because every effort I make in training converts  directly to the outcome on race day,” he says. “The efforts I make as an artist don’t directly  convert to equal forward progress.” That contrast between discipline and the unpredictable  magic of creativity is central to his approach. With Stray Curls currently being supported  through live performances across the Pacific Northwest and a second EP already underway with Lilavois at London Bridge Studios, Keating and The Renslow Trestle continue to make  honest, original music designed to get feet tapping, folks dancing, and listeners connecting  with something deeply human.
