Made up of James and Ollie, Snakehips have previously collaborated with the likes of Chance The Rapper, Anderson Paak, MØ, Anne-Marie and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. Their catalogue of hits include lush and sultry ‘On & On’, dreamy single ‘Days With You’, mega-hit ‘All My Friends’ (ft. Tinashe and Chance The Rapper), pop banger ‘Cruel’ featuring ZAYN, and 4-track EP Forever (Pt. II). The platinum-selling hit makers have also played at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and many more.

Olu and WowGr8, better known as EARTHGANG, first met in high school, roaming the same hallways that produced all four members of Goodie Mob decades before them. After discovering that they had similar tastes in music ranging from Madonna to Madlib, they decided to form a group of their own. EARTHGANG released their debut mixtape, The Better Party, in 2010. This was followed by several singles and two mixtapes plus their debut and sophomore albums. After signing to J. Cole‘s Dreamville Records in 2017, EARTHGANG released a trilogy of EPs: RagsRobots and Royalty, leading up to their 2019 major label debut album, Mirrorland. The record, which featured collaborations with the likes of Young Thug, T-Pain and Kehlani, earned them mainstream recognition and was met with critical acclaim across the board.

‘Run It Up’ serves as the inaugural release on Snakehips’ newly launched label Never Worry Records. They commented on the launch of the label, “We’ve always wanted to start our own imprint. It’s a platform to showcase some of our favourite artists and shine a light on up and coming talent that we are excited about. It also gives us a new home to release our own productions and collaborations that we just want to have fun with.”

Bringing together sought after artists from both sides of the Atlantic, ‘Run It Up’ has all the right ingredients to become a summer hit.
