As 2023 draws to a close, STMPD RCRDS is proud to unveil its final release of the year, a collaboration between Justin Mylo and Karen Harding titled “Rescue Me.”

Drawing inspiration from the iconic dance classic ‘Insomnia’ by Faithless, “Rescue Me” effortlessly transports listeners back to the nostalgic era of 90s house and trance. This classic sound is seamlessly woven with Karen Harding’s UK house and pop vibes, creating a harmonious blend of the old and the new.

Justin Mylo shares, “The writing session in London was a unique experience. Meeting Stephen, Karen, and James for the first time in person was surreal, and despite the initial nerves, the creative energy was amazing.”

Originally created on a guitar, the track took a transformative turn towards a darker, more melancholic theme. Mylo explains, “We began with the idea of a melancholic love song, but as the sessions progressed, we realized the potential for a dance song. The influence of ‘Insomnia’ was undeniable, and we wanted to capture that essence while blending it with Karen’s unique sound.”
