Emerging from the misty hills of San Francisco, The Lamps, an indie band, proudly announce the release of their captivating new single, ‘Ride Along.’ Comprised of talented members Joe Krahling on drums and Harrison Laver on guitar and lead vocals, The Lamps first crossed paths as co-workers in the service industry back in 2015. However, it wasn’t until the disbandment of their respective musical projects that they decided to join forces and establish the band in the summer of 2016. Their current lineup now includes Scott Holdridge on lead guitar and Christian Selig on bass and vocals. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres such as jazz, surf, blues, Americana, and alternative rock, The Lamps have created a distinctive blend that breathes new life into the indie rock scene.

The Lamps’ new release, ‘Ride Along’, is an electrifying song that will captivate audiences. The band members came up with the idea of revenge as a theme for the lyrics, which inspired a tale of a man seeking vengeance for his wife’s murder. The chorus expresses the narrator’s desperation, acceptance, and determination. In the second verse, the protagonist discovers the killer’s trailer but remains confident in his eventual victory. The song carries intense emotions and was a highly enjoyable collaboration for the band.
‘Ride Along’ serves as a tantalizing preview of what is to come from The Lamps, as it is featured on their forthcoming album, ‘The Sea, The Fog, The Rust.’ This highly anticipated 12-track offering is set to make waves and will be available starting July 3, 2023.
