The Silver Lines ‘Hotel Room’

The Silver Lines are following in the footsteps of some big names, while maintaining a clear sense of independence simultaneously. They offer a raw sound that draws you in from the get-go, opening up into cathartic lyricism and an edgy arrangement style, like a mix of juggernauts Sam Fender and Fontaines D.C. as of late.

Their newest offering, Hotel Room, is indicative of the band’s motive – high in energy, showing there’s plenty of fuel in the tank for the young band to take it all the way. It ponders on memories of youth and describes dealing with growing up with all of its accompanying emotions.

The Silver Lines say on the song:

“Hotel Room gently blurs the lines between a raw punk tune and an indie ballad. Lyrically it was a cathartic song to write as it allowed me to understand particular emotions I had buried.”

Hotel Room will be available from the 22nd of September across DSP’s and is set to be The Silver Lines biggest release to date, so don’t miss out!

BIO

Imagine wearing a scratchy hand knitted sweater and playing flat out raucous rock n roll music in a stuffy, dilapidated English country cottage… well that’s what it is like to be a Silver Line. Formed by the brothers Ravenscroft who were uninspired by the current landscape of guitar music, decided they were going to make music that turns them on. Since meeting Kindo (drums) and Joe Cartwright (bass) in 2019, they have consistently sold out hometown gigs, have had national radio plays on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and have played festivals from England to America.Fast forward to 2022 and repulsed by the notion of being just another ‘all white male indie’ that sings of teenage love or rants empty pseudo prophetic quotes, The Silver Lines set out to release new music that defies the genre and the peers within it. The product is a very self aware form of songwriting that covers many taboo topics from toxic masculinity, learnt behaviours from past generations, and explores personal experiences that connect with the listener on a much deeper level. Their new single, Hotel Room, is out 22nd September.
