The Sizzos is a collaborative musical project, formed and fronted by singer-songwriter George Zaninovich. Based in Eugene, OR the project features a host of talented guests whose individual styles offer a distinctive sound.
The Sizzos have recently released their latest single, an electrifying release that mixes and melds genres to create its own unique style. “Goodbye Again” is a churning, stomping throwback to the electronic pop rock of the 80’s combined with modern-day production.

George Zaninovich discusses “Goodbye Again”:
“There have been some monumental shifts in my life in the last 9 months and this is the first in a series of songs that will address all of it. While there is a full album coming out in early 2025, I wanted to get this out there as a form of catharsis. At first listen, the song sounds like a typical tale of unfaithfulness or and disloyalty, but it’s more about the complicated feelings around a relationship coming to its natural ending. There’s anger and curiosity, otherizing and intense self-reflection. Either way, there is sadness and pain to manage.”
An interesting item to note is deliberate use of distant sounds, slightly tucked vocals, and moody elements that The Sizzos uses to add nuance to the compositions, further creating a stand out style.
“This song came out of a big time in my life and I wanted the sound to reflect that. I kept envisioning something that could fill up every inch of a stadium. Something pulsing that made every listener feel…something. As a result, I started with a driving guitar line and equally as big ARP synth bass line. I asked Kabir Green to help with some of the synth layers and Joe Dagostino to add a melodic solo. Finally, I worked with Steve Wytas at Dirt Floor Recording and Production on the mixing and mastering and he really brought the bigness of the sound I was hoping for to life. As he put it, this song is like Depeche Mode and Tears For Fears got together to write a song for the Cult”
