“I wanted to record this song for my upcoming wedding,” explains Tams. “Life has thrown us so many curveballs, especially in the last few years. I think it’s important to take a step back sometimes and realize that there is so much beauty in this world. We can overlook so much of it. In a way, this cover is a reminder to myself to live with a little more gratitude.”

This understated rendition puts the focus on the song’s melody, Theo’s rich voice, and what he refers to as the “poetry” of the song itself. “There are very few songs that can live in such a simple vocal piano arrangement; ‘What a Wonderful World’ is definitely one of them,” adds Tams.
