A long-standing fixture within Amsterdam’s nightlife scene, Dennis Quin is an artist whose growing sound is built around his slick, modern take on classic house music, blending the raw, groove-laden essence of the genre with contemporary sound design. With previous releases on labels such as Dungeon Meat, Beeyou Records, PIV, Kaoz Theory and Cecille, Quin now brings his signature energy to the Thuishaven’s newly-minted in-house label Haven Trax with an EP crafted to move dancefloors worldwide.
Building on the momentum of Prunk’s ‘The Game’ EP, which launched the imprint and set the tone for its vision to close 2024, Haven Trax continues to spotlight core family members and key guests who have shaped the Thuishaven experience at the renowned venue. With ‘Imagination’, we see another perfect example of the label’s commitment to delivering forward-thinking music that resonates with its local audience and across the globe.
From the trippy and bumping groove of ‘Buckle Up’ to the deep, skippy and swing-loaded grooves of the title track, Quin’s latest release encapsulates his refined production prowess and explores all corners of his sound. ‘Delicious’ serves up pulsating, hypnotic and synth-driven melodies before ‘Lost Letter From West’ closes the EP with an evocative, late-night journey, once again showcasing the producer’s diverse sonic palette.
