Two Artists Follow Martin Garrix’s Lead, Announce Split from Spinnin’ Records
Martin Garrix cut ties with Spinnin’ Records and sister company MusicAllstars Management last August and now two other producers are following suit.
Fellow Dutchman Julian Jordan announced his split from the label and management company yesterday morning (Feb. 8), telling fans about his situation and what’s ahead.

Mike Hawkins’ manager, Dave Frank, says the split was mutual and has been in the works “for a while.” In an exclusive statement to Billboard, Frank says, “I can only speak for us, but as an artist – bottom line – you have a very specific and sometimes one-sided view of things.”
He continues, “However, I believe, that detailed and dialed vision is what creates great art – the ‘hate it or love it’ art that sparks debate or awakens something within people.”
Julian Jordan echoes a similar statement, saying, “As an artist you need to make new or different steps in your career to exploit your creativity.”
Spinnin’ Records has yet to make a public announcement on the matter but a rep provided this confirmation to Billboard: “The deal with these artists ended, and we decided not to continue.”
