Born in Ukraine but now based in Barcelona, DJ, producer, and IAMT Music Group chief Spartaque has been serving up his blend of pacy, heavy-hitting, and driving techno for over a decade, touching down on labels such as Terminal M and Codex Recordings. While recent years have welcomed collaborations alongside Ramiro Lopez, Pablo Say, and Fabio Neural, late June brings a big solo debut on US powerhouses Factory 93 as he delivers a pair of surging anthems across his latest EP, ‘Resist’.
Title cut ‘Resist’ is a bustling and energetic production as skittering percussion arrangements lead the charge above eerie synth evolutions, icy hats, and menacing low-ends for an all-action anthem, while ‘Tonight We Dance’ draws for more melodic textures and touches as crisp drum licks, tough kicks, sweeping leads, and entrancing vocals take hold.
