This Tuesday, June 30 leading independent music label Ultra Music and Pioneer DJ, creator of innovative DJ equipment and products, have teamed up to present the Ultra Music x Pioneer DJ Takeover, hosted by EDM.com to benefit MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. Lending their talents for the takeover are some of Ultra’s brightest artists including Icona Pop, Anabel Englund, Myrne, Gattuso and Dipha Barus.
COVID-19 has devastated our music community, leaving thousands of music creators and professionals with an uncertain future. MusiCares and the Recording Academy have partnered in a COVID-19 Relief effort to help our peers in the music community affected by the coronavirus pandemic. 4:00pm PT DIPHA BARUS
Through over a decade of experience in the Indonesian music industry, Dipha Barus has established himself as the new musical phenomenon with a brand that is always relevant, interlocking upbeat and inspiring music with essential elements of traditional Indonesian music and current groove. Dipha’s certain approach to music has made him one of the most sought-after DJs/Producers by top tier musicians in Indonesia as well as some international names. His recent collaboration with Raisa in “My Kind of Crazy” & “Mine (Day)” & “Mine (Night)” and his latest remix of Afgan, Isyana Sarasvati and Rendy Pandugo project AIR track “Heaven (Dipha Barus Remix) feat. A. Nayaka” has resulted in Dipha tapping into mainstream Indonesian pop market with nation-wide media exposure. Look for Dipha Barus to release a new track with CADE this summer.

A multi-talented singer-songwriter and DJ who has worked with some of the most respected DJs and producers in dance music, Englund garnered widespread acclaim when she linked up with Jamie Jones and Lee Foss in 2012 to form Hot Natured. Their single “Reverse Skydiving” amassed over 14 million streams on Spotify alone, immediately asserting Englund’s status as a force to be reckoned with. Signed with Ultra Music via MK’s AREA10 label, currently Englund is supporting several singles including the #1 dance radio track “So Hot” (MK & Nightlapse Remix), “See The Sky” (Tracy Young Remix), “Messing With Magic” with Jamie Jones and “Warm Disco” with Lee Foss.

Earlier this year, New York City-based DJ, producer and remixer GATTÜSO (AKA Reem Taoz), inked a brand new label deal with Ultra Music. The first single from the impressive deal was “Walk On Water,” featuring Kat Nestel. Next, GATTÜSO and R3HAB teamed up for “Creep” – a cover of one of Radiohead’s most iconic tracks – redone with a vocal big-room house vibe, marking the first-ever recording for Spotify’s inaugural “mint Singles” program, a companion to its flagship dance playlist, mint, and a spin-off of the popular “Spotify Singles” series, which helped propel the track into an international success. He followed that up with “Life” (a fresh take on the 1999 single written by hit-making singer, Des’ree) which was featured in an episode of the beloved Netflix series “Sex Education Season 2” and skyrocketed to #32 on the Shazam Top 100 globally. This international collaboration is produced in tandem with the Danish duo of multi-award winning composer for film, TV, and advertising, Sorenious Bonk and singer Signe Mansdotter.
