Continuing to bridge the gap between human and virtual worlds, LV4 will set out on a debut four-date tour this Fall. Kicking off with a performance at Brownies & Lemonade’s ‘Double Cross’, the tour includes supporting sets for Machinedrum in Downtown Los Angeles on October 28th, and Zeds Dead at The Shrine Auditorium on November 19th. LV4 will also head to Bogota, Columbia to perform at Sona x Lida x Element.
The incredible visual world of LV4 will come to life via IRL appearances on the upcoming tour. In a unique immersive experience, LV4 will take us not only on his latest sonic journey but a visual one as well, one that traverses the metaverse as LV4 harnesses the energy of his newfound creativity to subvert the chaotic ghosts within the machine.
LV4 is the breakout cyborg from the Spirit Bomb virtual artist collective, created by industry-leading designers Strangeloop Studios. LV4 is a cyborg hip-hop producer and the first Spirit Bomb character to release music, play live shows to sold-out crowds, and amass a core fan-base of over 140K followers on TikTok. LV4 has collaborated with Flying Lotus, Mr. Carmack, Two Fresh, and more.
Spirit Bomb is a virtual artist collective representing meta-fictional ‘Spirit’ AIs visiting from the not-so-distant dystopian future, sent back by prodigious child scientists to prevent the future destruction of humanity. With knowledge of a potential looming apocalypse, the virtual beings must work collaboratively with humans to avert disaster, and set humanity on a peaceful and productive course.
While SLS recognizes there will never be a replacement for the power of human performance, the creation of these virtual beings offer audiences something new, different, and exciting, functioning as unprecedented tools for an expression of human creativity. Each virtual being is a vessel for creative collaboration between human artists. Rather than using artificial intelligence (AI) to bring virtual beings to life, Spirit Bomb creates the semblance of agency and autonomy for its characters through community participation.
Spirit Bomb is the brainchild of Strangeloop Studios, the digital artist studio that created The Weeknd’s NFT, and for over two decades has designed the original content for the stage shows of Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Flying Lotus, Pharrell, SZA, Bonobo and more. Their recent collaborations include Lil Nas X’s Grammy performance and Coachella shows for Denzel Curry, 100 Gecs and TOKiMONSTA. Strangeloop Studios was also recently selected to create the 4th drop on ApeDrops.xyz, the new NFT platform from the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s ApeCoinDAO, which has so far included limited drops from Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa.
