Voting Now Open For The Aux Awards 2023

A celebration of all things independent music, the Aux Awards recognises the brightest and most innovative names in independent music across creators, brands and technology. The 2023 Awards comes in partnership with MusicAlly, Lady of The House and DataTransmission.

Aux (www.aux.app), the streamlined remote-collaboration app that allows remote working musicians to backup, share, and version Ableton Live and Logic Pro projects, is thrilled to announce the return of the Aux Awards. The Awards is a celebration of all things independent music, giving recognition to the creators and music and technology brands who have been making waves over the past 12 months. Voting is now open until 3rd March at aux.app/awards and the winners will be announced on 20th March on the Aux YouTube channel.

Across 9 categories, the shortlist has been thoughtfully selected by the visionary team at Aux – led by founder, tech entrepreneur Ben Bowler – together with reputable industry partners: MusicAlly, Lady of The House and DataTransmission. And anyone can vote in the Awards be they fans or industry alike.

With over 70 nominees lining up as potential award recipients, some of the shortlist includes: Angel Lee and Future Alters who are up for Best Independent Artist / Group; HEIGHTS and Rachel Jane who are contenders for Best Single; Collars and Bearcubs have been nominated for Best Album; AEI and Independent Music Week are finalists for the Best Music Business Award, and AudioShake and Staccato are in line for the Best New Music Tech accolade.

The inaugural Aux Awards took place in March 2022. Over 1,500 votes were cast by musicians and music fans globally, with thousands more tuning in to watch the live streamed ceremony with live performances from winners Emma Mae, CLOUD, alternative lyricist Anna Wolf, and shoegaze/alt-rock outfit Silktape, in celebration of the brightest and most innovative names in independent music.

Over the coming year, many more updates will appear on Aux.app, which launched Version 1 of its desktop app in September 2022. As a recipient of a £50,000 Innovate UK Next Steps Grant, 2023 will see the integration of Aux’s pioneering AI technology that will ultimately help the next generation of music and content creators to make career-changing collaborator and industry connections right from within the app.
